Idiots Who Don’t Vaccinate Do So Because They Read The Ravings Of Other Idiots

Frankly, I don’t care if you don’t want the flu vaccine. The science is in, and it’s the single best bet to weather the storm of this swine flu pandemic. But there are those who cite the 1976 Fort Dix influenza outbreak and claim that this is just Big Pharma stirring the pot to make more money. There are those who claim that nobody’s actually going to get sick because nobody in their work has swine flu yet. There are those who say that only the elderly and the immunocompromised die from the flu. You all have your reasons.

And you’re ignorant. And I use that term in exactly the way it’s intended, as the fine folks at Dictionary.com tell us, “lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned.”If you read the facts about this disease, you’ll see that we have every reason to believe this will be a huge issue, that it targets people in very different age groups than previous flu virii, and that the dearth of information is not coming from some evil conglomeration of pharma companies. The logic being used by the naysayers is as sensible as any other employed by the conspiracy theorist types.

Again last night I saw someone’s facebook status stating that they sure as hell weren’t getting the vaccine. The reasons presented (and largely applauded by his friends) were ludicrous as always, and showed a true lack of understanding.
